I've honestly quit reading the nasty things being said about her. I figure if I give it a week or two the truth will surface and a majority of what is being said will be proven to be lies.
.NET and Java are very-closely related, and it's almost foolish to pin one against the other, but if I had to pick one, I'd definitely side with .NET.
Why?
1) Garbage Collection in .NET - much better than Java.
2) Arguably the best editor on the planet, Visual Studio doesn't support Java... but coincidentally, it DOES support the main set of .NET languages. Funny how that worked out, heh?
3) .NET supports different languages, and not just the main set of languages that everyone thinks of like C# and VB. There's also J#, IronPython, and someone even ported COBOL and FORTRAN to .NET. Can Java do that?
I'm at work, so those are the first three that come to mind! Come on, Java camp - can anyone do better than ".NET is for sissies?"
Oprah will still be the richest but I think Sarah Palin may be the power woman of the future. I think people are becoming a little bored with Oprah..
Dennis, Dennis..... Since you brought up the firing of the cop scandel, anyone who tasers a ten year old child should not be in law enforcement. When Ben and Ryan acted up at that age I jumped on their back and pulled their hair, I didn't zap them with a taser. (They had hair back then and were already bigger than me.)
I think she will come across as being more sincere and even more qualified to lead than many people think. I don't think anyone should underestimate her.
Palin has an 80% approval rating in Alaska and I think that speaks for itself. I like politicians who take on corruption and she's done that. (Instead of just talking about it..) She seems to be good at handling state money and I like that. I think if you do those two things alot of our other problems would take care of themselves.
