I definitely need to work on the wall communication. It's a bit confusing. Eventually need to add live chat through use of Ajax I'm guessing.

Ryan I don't know why i keep having problems with this but on the breastfeeding rivalry I deleted one of ricks ego points instead of adding one. i am clicking on the right arrow. grrrr

Just wanted to let you know that this morning I shared the newest rivalry on Facebook. You might even gain a few new members, but just wanted to see what others think. I have quite a few friends in Texas whom I know will have an opinion and would like to hear what they have to say.

Okay, Ryan. I know I disappeared for awhile but can you tell me some of the latest updates you've made to make JB more active. I figured out that I have 10 min. to edit my posts, which is nice, since I had to use it to ought already! What is this I am seeing about voting up or down others comments or votes? A couple of nieces are here for 2 months of summer, so I don't get computer time. And trying to see everything on an iPhone screen can be difficult. Just interested in knowing what all I can know participate in. Or is there an icon or something I can click on for more details? Think I actually voted and commented on 6 or 7 rivalries tonight, so am getting back into JB!

Hey, just wanted you to know I won't be posting the new rivalry I told you about until 10 or 10:30. That would be around 11p.m. your time. Didn't want you to think I was posting it real soon.

Oh, I'm certain my points will suffer as will my point of view. You know me. I just hope those that disagree will actually state a reason for why they disagree as opposed to just voting my statements down, but it will at least be interesting.

I just wanted you to be aware of the fact that I'm about to start a rivalry tonight that will probably have a few of your members in an uproar.

I wanted you to be aware of the fact that I deliberately made several comments on an older rivalry to put my points back where they should be. I know that it was TNinfidel (Rob) who voted my comments down due to the fact that his last login date shows 7/16/12. I noticed that after the other 3 members who joined the recent rivalry concerning Rice and McDonnell that no points had been voted down on either side. However, after visiting today I noticed my points had been voted down and checked Rob's last login date. I won't make any other comments on that page to vote up or down in order to keep it balanced if you wish. I just thought it extremely petty of him to do so without even offering a comment or view. I know there is no way for you to control this. I was just bringing it to your attention.

Note to self: You need to send an email notification and or create a JB notification when a friend request is initiated and possibly send an email notification the user when it's accepted.

It is a little easier to keep up with but I'd consider not necessarily trying to line them up with their respective sides. The color coding is enough.

I also noticed that in the replies it doesn't indicate which side the one who is replying is on.

Threading comments is a tricky item as when you're dealing with three sides of discussion potentially on every rivalry it will get extremely clustered if I allow build a feature that threads them out further. What I might be able to do is allow you to reply to any comment but they will stay nested as is with a parent comment. However, possibly the specific replies could have a support short exceprt of the comment being replied to and lead with a @johndoe. However, that too might get too clustered.

Maybe make the comments collapsible and each side be color coded. Looks like they are already color coded, Oops. What I have in mind can be seen on Intense Debate, Disqus, and to some extent, Facebook.

I've had no problems receiving notifications since you fixed the problem.

On a different issue, you may want to consider threading the comments and making it possible to reply to each comment as well. It would make following the discussion much easier.

Be assured I will use my fake accounts for good and not evil. LOL

At least I am not using them to manipulate the winning side of the rivalry as our fruity little friend here is. ;)

Perhaps you should also make it possible for users to delete their accounts?

With the ability for anyone to so easily open fake accounts it makes the rivalries easily manipulated and can seem quite pointless to many to even bother with it.

I can still create fake accounts using bogus email addresses. I'd suggest using at least a verification system where a link would have to clicked on in an email sent from JB to validate the account. Unique user names should be enabled too as I can make as many "Rick" accounts as I wish currently.

You had to know, being a Kazinec, that your "erecting a massive tower" comment would be to hard to resist. ;)

Ryan, what I mean is that someone went through several of the debates, some which I know this person didn't even have a response or argument and down scored simply out of spite. I just thought it was petty. No big deal. Don't worry about it.

Hey. Just out of curiousity why am I not listed as one of this week's top debaters? I think there's something hinky there. I believe someone is deliberately lowering my votes even when I take a neutral stance on subjects. Not going to say who I think it is, but that's a bit petty. Didn't know if that was it or just a glitch.

That's fine. No worry. Why were you putting up a cell tower? Is the coverage out there at your house that bad?

I have thought long and hard about this, I really think you should have a third choice, "I don't care" or "Not of interest" or "Neutral". I do believe this would get many to at least give an answer. Many of the rivalries that are listed now, I have no interest in, but would at least post to them.
